Mindful Mondays: Finding the Calm in a Pandemic

Monday, June 8th, 2020

8:30am (log-in time); 8:45am-9:00am Session

Did you now that nearly 7 in 10 employees indicated that the COVID-19 pandemic is the most stressful time of their entire professional career? The same survey by mental health provider, Ginger, also reported that 88% of workers experienced moderate to extreme stress over the past 4 to 6 weeks, and among those people, 62% said they’ve lost at least 1 hour of productivity a day—and 32% lost at least 2 hours a day—due to COVID-19–related stress.

Stats like these show us we’re not alone in feeling the same things; overworked, stressed, and uncertain. And too often these feelings can spiral into anger, resentment, and loss in productivity.

But giving up is not in our DNA. Assemble is taking a stand with our belief that we are stronger together. So with the help of the fearless Dr. Beth Weinstock, co-founder of The Resilience Group we decided to launch Mindful Mondays.

Starting May 18th, we’re creating a space where we can meet for just 15 minutes to start our day and our week with an ability to effectively handle stress, create some clarity, define our focus, and narrow our energy. By slowing down and reflecting on the changes impacting you right now, you can discover the value of these tools in your personal life and business.

Every session is free and will dive into a different topic regarding living through today’s uncertainties and what you can learn about yourself as the external world feels smaller than ever.

In the words of Jon Kabat-Zinn, “Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way; on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally simply the art of conscious living.”
